No new cases of Covid-19 in NZ today for fourth day this week

No new cases of Covid-19 have been reported in New Zealand today for the second day in a row.

There were no new cases yesterday, and zero cases on both Wednesday and Thursday. There have been just three new cases, all in managed isolation, in the past week.

There are still 21 active cases in New Zealand's managed isolation and quarantine facilities

The total number of confirmed cases in New Zealand remains at 1206.

In a statement today, the Health Ministry said it had now been 86 days since the last case of Covid-19 that was acquired in the community.

It said 1754 tests were completed in New Zealand's laboratories yesterday.
