Convicted murderer Raymond Ratima, who killed seven members of his family in 1992, has had his parole chances frozen until 2017.
Ratima was sentenced to life imprisonment after he went on a rampage in Masterton in 1992, killing family members including his three sons and pregnant sister-in-law. He also attempted to murder his father-in-law.
The Parole Board declined parole in November last year and has just issued a postponement order freezing his chances for parole for three years from that date.
Ratima has had three similar postponement orders dating back to 2003.
