A New Zealand healthcare worker who has been officially cleared of having Ebola is asking for privacy, after receiving multiple phone calls from the same newspaper organisation.
Bronni McBain, a nurse from Gore, began feeling ill late last week, days after returning from an aid relief mission in Sierra Leone, in West Africa.
She was cleared of the Ebola virus last night.
A statement issued by the Canterbury District Health Board said some media organisations were repeatedly phoning Ms McBain's personal mobile number.
She has received more than 100 calls from the same newspaper outlet.
Ms McBain is contracted to an Australian organisation, which arranged her mission to Sierra Leone, and is unable to comment publicly.
