Police forensic teams are investigating the death of a man in the Waikato town of Te Awamutu on Sunday night.
The man was found following an altercation at a North Road property yesterday evening and police are treating the death as a homicide.
A post-mortem will be carried out in Auckland tomorrow and forensic work is expected to continue for several days.
Witnesses are being asked to contact police.
