The Terrace Tunnel in Wellington has fully re-opened after an incident left one person in a critical condition.
The tunnel was shut and motorists were asked to avoid the area during the incident this afternoon.
Police said the incident had now been resolved and a person had been taken to hospital in a critical condition.
All lanes are now open again, although NZTA has warned commuters that there is still significant congestion.
