A police pursuit in west Auckland ended this morning when the two young occupants crashed before trying to flee through Waikumete Cemetery.

Police say the vehicle failed to stop in the Great North Road area at about 5.30am, and a pursuit began.
Shortly after, the vehicle clipped a curb and slammed into a bus stop sign.
The two occupants fled and were later tracked down around Waikumete Cemetery.
They will be referred to Youth Aid.
There were no reported injuries.
