Kāpiti Coast Airport has closed down today after a security threat was made on Facebook.

Police were alerted just before midday, and the airport subsequently made the decision to close.
The airport says for staff welfare reasons, the tower and runway will remain closed, but it expects to have an update tomorrow on when it will re-open.
Police are still investigating.
