The store at Botany, east Auckland, was evacuated when a small fire caused some smoke.

The company said it did does not think the fire was accidental, and it was cooperating with a police investigation.

The store was to reopen early afternoon, the company said.

Police are treating the fire as suspicious.

Six weeks ago a suspicious fire at a west Auckland Countdown forced the evacuation of an entire mall.
