A person was critically injured after a stabbing in central Auckland today.
Police attended the incident on Orakei Road, Remuera, which happened about 1.10pm.
The critically injured person was taken to hospital.
Police said they were still investigating, but a person was taken into custody in the evening and was assisting them with inquiries.
Cordons in the area have been removed.
