Two teenagers accused of murdering 28-year-old Joshuah Tasi have appeared in Youth Court in Auckland.

No pleas were entered for either of the murder-accused.

The pair were arrested over the weekend after the fatal incident in the North Shore suburb of Beach Haven on Friday night.

The 14-year-old, appearing via video link, and the 17-year-old appeared in court with a number of supporters looking on.

Only those closest to the pair were allowed inside the courtroom, sparking a clash between court security and those left outside with one supporter yelling at security not to touch them.

As the 17-year-old left the court room, family could be heard yelling "We love you", and 'Don't forget to pray".

Both boys have been remanded in custody, and will appear at Auckland High Court later this month.
