The tangi for slain gang member Albert Enoka will take place in Wellington on Tuesday, as the hunt for his killer continues.
The 39-year-old was shot in the Lower Hutt suburb of Naenae a week ago.
Police say people should expect traffic delays as the body is taken from Wainuiomata in Lower Hutt to Whenua Tapu Cemetery in Porirua during the late morning.
Acting Area Commander Inspector Shaun Lingard said police will be monitoring the funeral and procession to ensure family and mourners can grieve safely and within the law.
Police have named 28-year-old Wipuhara Kapene as the man they say is responsible for the killing.
Kapene - who wears heavy Black Power facial tattoos - is considered to be armed and dangerous, and should not be approached.
