A man has been charged after stealing more than $10,000 in property from cars in east Auckland.
Counties Manukau East Intelligence Manager, senior sergeant Simon Cornish, said had also allegedly committed several petrol drive-offs in the area.
Cornish said handbags, wallets, tools, camera gear and work vehicles were targeted in East Tamaki.
The man was arrested in the Botany area on Monday afternoon, and was now facing 15 charges.
Police said they believed there were seven victims, with at least four petrol drive-offs.
Cornish said the 34-year-old man was arrested by police in the Botany area on Monday afternoon.
"A number of units deployed to the Botany area, including the Police Eagle helicopter, and the vehicle was stopped on Te Irirangi Drive," he said.
The man faced 15 charges including theft and fraud offences relating to stolen credit cards, with further possible charges to be laid by police.
He would appear in the Manukau District Court on Tuesday.
