Police have charged a teenage boy over an attack at a Christchurch park that left a woman critically injured.
The woman was found at the Richmond Village Green on Stanmore Road earlier this month. She was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
The 16-year-old has been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and assault, in relation to another person.
The boy is also accused of a theft in the same area two days before the woman was hurt.
He is due to appear at the Christchurch Youth Court on Friday.
