New Zealand high jumper Hamish Kerr has won another Diamond League gold medal, this time at the London track and field meet.

Kerr was the only athlete to clear 2.3m in the men's field to take the win from JuVaughn Harrison from the United States at 2.26m.

It's another encouraging performance from the high jump medal hopeful one week out from the Paris Olympics.

Earlier this month he achieved 2.33m at the Diamond League in Monaco in a performance which equalled his outdoor best.

Jacko Gill was 5th in men's shot put with a throw of 21.11, while Tom Walsh was 6th nearly matching Gill with 21.06 in his third round.

Tori Peeters was fifth in the women's javelin with throw of 60.43 Eliza McCartney fifth in the pole vault, with a jump of 4.65m.
