Two earthquakes have hit the Wairoa region in northern Hawkes Bay. this evening. The first measuring 3.5 and the second measuring 3.8.
The first measured magnitude 3.5 and hit about 4.20pm today and was at a depth of 45km.
The second quake struck just after 5pm and was 30km deep and measured 3.8.
There were no reports of any damage.
