A truck crash on Auckland's Southern Motorway caused traffic gridlock with queues building 10 kilometres in both directions.

The truck overturned in the northbound lanes of the motorway near the Mount Wellington turn-off at about 2pm.
No one was seriously hurt.
The Transport Agency said traffic was heavy northbound between Princes Street and Gillies Avenue, and southbound from Fanshawe Street to the Highbrook Drive turn-off and Te Irirangi to Takanini.
