A tramper missing in the Coromandel has been found after activating his personal locator beacon.
Thirty volunteers had helped the police in the search for 59-year-old James Bright, who went missing yesterday.
He was found at about 4.30pm, near a stream in the Kauaeranga Valley.
He had minor injuries to his wrists but is understood to be on his way home.
