A motorcyclist has died in hospital after a head-on collision wtih a car in Waikato early this afternoon.
The police said the crash happened on State Highway 1 near Tamahere, which is between Cambridge and Hamilton.
The highway closed after the crash, which took place just after 1pm, and re-opened at about 5pm.
