Police in Marlborough are continuing to investigate a car fire in which a body was discovered.
Police said they had removed the body from the car, which was found burning in a layby off State Highway 1, at Tuamarina, yesterday.
The body will be transported to Christchurch for a post mortem examination which was expected to take place tomorrow.
Police said the cause of the fire was yet to be established.
