The FIRST Union said more than 100 drivers from Howick and Eastern Buses were re-starting strike action.

The union said while cash would be refused, passengers would still be able to go to their destination.

This action will last for 24 hours, from 4am tomorrow.

Other action, lasting until 11 March, would involve drivers refusing to drive buses with known safety defects, without certification and with equipment that was not working.

FIRST Union said the company was trying to remove overtime and weekend rates from drivers.
