One person has minor injuries after a fire broke out in a Wellington home.

Fire crews were called to the house on Strathmore Avenue, close to Wellington's airport, at 1.15pm.
A fire communications spokesperson said the fire had been brought under control and was close to being extinguished.
Ambulance communications said one person had minor injuries.
