Initial police inquiries indicate no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of a man whose body was found in a garage in Tokoroa.
The body was found by firefighters who were called to a fire at a house on the same Carrington Crescent property this morning.
The Fire Service said the garage was separate from the house and not affected by the fire.
Police are still investigating the death.
They said they would release the name of the man once his body had been formally identified and family had been notified.
