A man injured in Napier this afternoon wasn't shot as previously believed, police say.
They had said earlier that they were called to a house on McGrath Street, following an incident involving a gun, just before 3.30pm.
Three people have been charged with injuring with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
A spokesperson for St John Ambulance said this afternoon that the injured man was in a moderate condition.
