A father and grandfather have been charged with manslaughter after a baby drowned in the family swimming pool on Christmas Day, 2014.
James Faletogia Mataafi and Mosala Saleupolu appeared at the High Court in Auckland today, where their interim name suppression lapsed.
They have been charged with the manslaughter of one-year-old Imogene Mataafi, who died at her Manurewa home in the family's temporary backyard swimming pool on Christmas Day, 2014.
Justice Lang has set a trial date for May next year.
Mr Mataafi and Mr Saleupolu are on bail.
