Hamilton Boys High School have won rowing's elite Maadi Cup with their under-18 boys eight pipping Napier Boys in a thrilling finish at Lake Karapiro.
Hamilton clocked a time just .19 of a second faster than Napier in front of thousands of spectators lining the banks.
Westlake Boys High School were third.
