The Sydney Swans have won the first AFL Premiership game to be played outside of Australia, beating Melbourne side St Kilda Saints 79-63 in Wellington on ANZAC Day.
The players struggled in slippery conditions at Westpac Stadium, with the match attracting a crowd of 22,500.
While the game was officially a home match for St Kilda, the Sydney midfielder Josh Kennedy says it was the Swans who felt right at home as Westpac stadium had a similar feel to their home ground the SCG.
