The Inter Milan football team has been struck with five suspensions following the side's goalless draw against Sampdoria at the weekend.
The Inter coach Jose Mourinho received a three-match ban and was fined more than $75,000 [40,000 Euros] for insulting officials and making a handcuffs gesture during the home Serie A match.
The Inter defenders Walter Samuel and Ivan Cordoba were banned for one match each after being sent off during the match, while midfielders Muntari Sulley and Esteban Cambiasso copped two-game suspensions.
The Italian sporting justice says Muntari's ban was for repeatedly insulting officials, and Cambiasso has been sanctioned for trying to punch a Sampdoria player during the interval.
The club has expressed their intention to appeal against the sanctions imposed on Mourinho, Cambiasso and Muntari.
