The New Zealand Youth Americas Cup team has narrowly missed out on retaining the trophy they won four years ago.

The New Zealand team dominated the racing today winning all three races, moving them up from fifth to in contention for the cup.
They had to finish three places ahead of Britain's BAR in the final race to win the regatta.
It looked like they would retain the cup with BAR in fifth place on the last leg, Sweden and Germany were in second and third when Sweden picked up a penalty for not giving Germany enough room.
BAR were able to catch up and move into second - edging over New Zealand to win the cup.
New Zealand skipper Logan Dunning Beck said he's proud of how his team sailed.
"To come away with three wins is credit to the guys and to the effort we've put in.
"We were well aware of what was going on behind us in that last leg and it was pretty gut wrenching to see Germany hook on that last mark but that's how racing goes and the Brits did a great job to capitalise on it and pull through," Dunning Beck said.

"We went out there and put on the best performance we could, we didn't end up with the trophy but we came second - we couldn't have done any better today so we're happy to walk away like that."
Dunning-Beck said the team will go their separate ways with some going to sail in t he extreme series and the rest coming home to focus on their Olympic classes.
