The New Zealand junior rowing squad has made a good start to their World Championships in the Czech Republic with three crews winning heats.
Double scullers Sean Watts and Oliver Behrent won their heat to qualify for the quarter-finals, the women's four won their heat to make their final and the men's quad won their heat to make the next round.
The men's coxed four were second to qualify for semi-finals, the men's eight were fourth and go to the repechages along with the women's quad, who were hit by sickness and decided to just row through the course.
