New Zealand secured a convincing seven-wicket win over England in the third and final match of their series in Dunedin on Sunday.

Under pressure having been comfortably beaten in games one and two, the home side broke their ODI drought in style.

Needing 221 to win after a good fightback with the ball in the second half of England's innings, the White Ferns reached their target with more than three overs to spare.

An unbroken fourth-wicket partnership of 172 between Amy Satterthwaite and Amelia Kerr, who came together with New Zealand under pressure at 51-3, highlighted the successful chase.

Satterthwaite recorded her seventh ODI century, finishing 119 not out, while Kerr was unbeaten on 72.

Kerr's innings ensured she collected player of the match honours, after she had earlier picked up four wickets with her leg-spinners.

Sister Jess Kerr and captain Sophie Devine added two wickets each as the Ferns finished strongly with the ball.

England appeared to be cruising at 115-1 at the halfway point of their innings, before Amelia Kerr''s first wicket sparked the home team to life.

The visitors, from that position of strength, lost nine wickets for just 105 runs to be all out for 220 in the 48th over.
