Rain has washed out the entire second day of Sri Lanka's tour-opening match against a New Zealand XI in Lincoln.
Play wasn't possible at Bert Sutcliffe Oval, leaving the tourists with just the opening day's play on Saturday as their only match practice ahead of the first Test against the Black Caps, starting in Christchurch on Thursday.
Sri Lanka scored 276-4 declared after both teams agreed they would bat first, with Kusal Mendis top-scoring with 95 off just 87 balls after opener Oshada Fernando scored 78.
The best bowling for a relatively unheralded New Zealand XI was Ross ter Braak's 1-36.
The home side reached 141-1 at stumps on day one, built around an unbeaten 73 from captain and opener Jack Boyle.
Pace bowler Lahiru Kumara took the lone wicket, having Jacob Cumming caught behind for 27.
