Our mixed triathlon team - Dylan McCullough, Nicole van der Kaay, Ainsley Thorpe and Hayden Wilde - are first up on Day 10 of the Games.

The mixed relay triathlon sees each athlete complete a mini-triathlon, with the traditional order of swim-bike-run, before handing off to the next competitor.

But New Zealand's already slim chance of a medal was lost altogether when Hayden Wilde collided with a French rider right at the start of his cycle leg.

Later, pole vault star Eliza McCartney steps up in the qualifying round. Fellow New Zealanders Olivia McTaggart and Imogen Ayris will also be hoping to advance to the next stage of the competition.

And speed climber Sarah Tetzlaff will race up the wall.

In the early hours of Tuesday, Luuka Jones and Finn Butcher are in the kayak cross quarter-finals.

Meanwhile, Simone Biles could join an elite club of greatest female Olympians as she goes for titles eight and nine in the balance beam and floor exercise finals on the last day of artistic gymnastics competition at the Paris Games.

The beam finals are at 10.36pm Monday NZT, with the floor exercise finals at 12.20am Tuesday NZT.
