Ponting not finished yet

The former Australian cricket captain Ricky Ponting achieved his second century in three matches in Adelaide yesterday, and became the third batsman to score 13,000 test runs before laughing off suggestions that he might be about to retire after this final test in the series against India.

37-year-old Ponting was unbeaten on 137 at stumps last night having rescued Australia's innings with a partnership of 251 for the fourth wicket with his successor as captain Michael Clarke who's 140 not out.

Ponting has revived his career in the current series, scoring his first century in two years in the second test in Sydney.

Australia will resume today on 335 for 3.
