  • Noon János Fürst and the NZSO

    International conductor János Fürst passed away in January, and this year is also the 60th anniversary of the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra.

    In 1995, Fürst and the NZSO presented a landmark Beethoven symphony cycle in five concerts in Wellington and Christchurch. Over the coming week we'll revisit those 5 concerts and tonight we begin the series with an interview in which János Fürst talked with Des Wilson about his life and philosophies (RNZ)
