    Finnish duo Lepistö & Lehti

    The pairing of accordion and double bass isn't the most obvious of combinations, but Finnish master musicians Markku Lepistö and Pekka Lehti somehow make it work. Their musical backgrounds are quite different too: Leipistö has concentrated on folk music while Lehti's career has been in jazz, fusion and funk. In Global Sounds this afternoon, the duo (who featured in this year's WOMAD festival in Taranaki) perform their own compositions (Aito Records AICD012)
