    Adrienne Simpson was a valued contributor to RNZ Concert, until her death last December. Tonight we repeat one of the many programmes she made for us over the years.

    Romanticised notions of misty, feuding, bloodthirsty Scotland were fashionable in 19th century Europe and resulted in dozens of operas on Scottish subjects. One of these is Lucia di Lammermoor which is coming up from the Met this Sunday (RNZ)
