1:15 Saturated Fats and Heart Disease

A group of international scientists has slammed the belief that saturated fats clog up the arteries, causing coronary heart disease.

In an editorial published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine, the authors argue the disease is instead caused by chronic inflammation. And the best form of prevention and treatment are 'real' food and a brisk 22 minute daily walk.

Dr Rita Redberg is a cardiologist specialising in heart disease in women, from the University of California, and she's one of the authors of the editorial.

Converted from office buildings in 1970, Westbeth was set up to provide a community for low income artists and has thrived in its aim ever since. Director Rohan Spong is the man behind the film that delves into community, ageing and the need to keep creating.

Rachel Nepia is a PhD student in biological science at Waikato University, and she writes a blog called My Pollen Nation. And she's researching the impact of the honey industry on indigenous biodiversity, in the hope to manage hives on public land more effectively.
