A government-ordered inquiry into New Zealand's retail fuel market has found petrol prices "might not be reasonable". The Fuel Market Financial Performance Study was commissioned by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment after many complaints about the cost of petrol.
AA's petrol price spokesman, Mark Stockdale, has been taking a look at the report.

1:25 Historic Takaka Grandstand to be Demolished
Around this time last year we reported on efforts to save the historic Takaka grandstand. Well their bid to stop the council demolishing it have failed and it is due to be pulled own to make way for a new sports and recreation facility.
The barrel vaulted roofed stand was built in 1899 and is one of just two of its kind left in the country. The Golden Bay Grandstand Community Trust had sought an enforcement order in the Environment Court prohibiting the stand's removal, but it was declined.
Dick Lamb is one of the trust supporters.
1:30 Darwin, Dogs and DNA
Dogs took over the University of Otago yesterday, in a quest to find out the genetic connection between canine behaviour and genetics. The dogs were DNA swabbed by American-based project called Darwin Dogs. It's part of a week-long Genetics Society of Australasia being held by the university.
Professor Peter Dearden from the Otago Centre for Genetics explains.

His live version of No Woman No Cry at this concert was so popular it was released as a single as well.
Photographer Dennis Morris who took many images of Bob Marley over the years said "This was the gig of gigs - one of the best he ever played."

Music Historian Graham Clark has just released a book on one of the unsung heroes of Kiwi music. Waikato born Ritchie Pickett cut his teeth in 70's rock bands Graffiti and Think, toured the country with rock 'n' roller Tom Sharplin and became one of the stars of TV's "That's Country" in the 80s. Best known as the front-man for Waikato band The Inlaws, Pickett was a prolific song writer and a master at the piano.
Pickett died in 2011 at the age of 56, but his legend lives on in his music and this new book

Scott Griffiths is a National Health and Medical Research Council Fellow at the University of Melbourne. He researches eating and body image disorders, including muscle dysmorphia, anorexia nervosa, body dysmorphic disorder, anabolic steroids, and the contributions that masculinity, femininity, and stigma make to these.
