A nationwide shortage of chaplains has prompted Otago University to appoint its first ever lecturer in chaplaincy.

Today Mary talks about reverse mortgages which is seen as a way to free up money for retired homeowners, but she warns people should take care if they're considering this.

She explains there's been growing interest in these mortgages, with Heartland bank recording  39% increase in inquiries for the first quarter of this year compared with the same period in 2020.

Reverse mortgages are only currently offered by Heartland and SBS.

In May 1989, Arsenal won the football league championship in arguably the most exciting finish to a season in English top-flight history. The Gunners needed to beat the legendary 1980s Liverpool side by two goals at Anfield, and managed to scrape a 2-0 victory thanks to a dramatic injury-time winner. It was Arsenal's first championship since 1971. Alex Capstick talks to their former defender Nigel Winterburn.
