1:15 Massive solar energy investment in Canterbury
Genesis and FRV Australia have announced they will spend around $70 million to develop a large solar panel site on the Canterbury Plains.
All going well the 90-hectare site will be home to about 80,000 solar panels, which should start generating electricity in 2024.
This will make it one of the largest solar generation sites in the country, so, is this a step in the right direction?
To break down what this could mean for consumers Sharee McNab, a research engineer for Epecentre at the University of Canterbury speaks to Jesse.
1:25 Pleasant Point Young Farmers Club relaunched
Many in the rural sector benefit from the connections they make through their local Young Farmers Club.
Brittany Honeywell has grown up in an area that used to have 10 of these clubs, but over the years that's dwindelled down to just one.
So last year she and her friends decided to relaunch the Pleasant Point Young Farmers Club for rural workers aged 17-31, and it's quickly been gaining traction.
Today she's the chairperson of club and talks to Jesse about how its going.

Chris Caffaro has photographed some of the world's most iconic musicians.
He's shot the likes of Iggy Pop, Michael Hutchence,The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, Elvis Costello, Nick Cave, Fiona Apple, Henry Rollins and Soundgarden.
His images have regularly appeared in Rolling Stone Magazine as well as on more than 200 album covers.
And for the first time Los Angeles based music photographer Chris Caffaro is bringing his work to Aotearoa.
