Norwegian Fjord horses are an incredibly rare breed, and were almost extinct 140 years ago.

This weekend, the Aotearoa New Zealand Norwegian Fjord Horse Manatōpū society - NZ Fjords for short - is hosting a trek for rare horses.

Megan Hopkinson in Timaru is the president of NZ Fjords, she talks to Jesse.

1:25 Gen X review of Harry Styles concert

Last night tens of thousands of teenagers were up a bit later than usual for a school night to hero worship Harry Styles who played at Auckland's Mount Smart stadium.

His fan base, largely female and under 16, were out in force to finally see their idol on stage.

Dotted amongst the teens were a few brave oldies - or Gen x parents there to oversee their children's safety.

One of them was our new Executive Editor of  Lifestyle and Entertainment for RNZ online,  Lucy Corry.

Dr Singh-Bains research focuses on neurodegenerative diseases such as Huntington's Disease and Alzheimers.

Stories from around the world of people affected by Huntington's including young people. She helped write the first chapter, giving insight into what Huntington's Disease is.

Outside the lab, she is dedicated to raising awareness, which includes setting-up Huntington's Disease Youth Organisation NZ.

Cardiac arrests, burn victims, patients in need of a fitting for a prosthetic leg; it's just another day in the life of nurse Jade Pengelly. Only her patients are dogs, horses even a tortoise and a snake. She's a veterinary nurse whose worked both here and in the UK, looking after our beloved pets.
