1:15 Whitinga ora pēpi at Auckland hospital a big help for newborns needing extra care

A Starship and Te Toka Tumai collaboration has seen a new unit created, called Whitinga ora pēpi.

The unit is the first of its kind in New Zealand,designed for babies who are in need of extra care, but not intensive care.

Co-Charge Midwife Rebecca Clark  explains how successful the unit has been.

1.25 Pharmac funding life changing device for children with type 1 diabetes

A six year old girl is one of many who are set to benefit from Pharmac funding Dexcom Continuous Glucose Monitors.

The product means Grace can now have more freedom to move around as teachers and teacher aids can monitor her in the playground from a distance.

Grace's mum, Juliet talks to Jesse about what these glucose monitors are and how much of a difference it can make for children with type 1 diabetes.

1.35 Poet Hera Lindsay Bird adds 'agony aunt' to her CV

Now he’s a  social psychologist and professor of human development and social policy Northwestern University in Chicago.
