Studies have shown that teenage depression rates in New Zealand have more than doubled over the past few decades.
A big part of that surrounds social media and the impact it can have on body image.
Well 23-year-old artist and public speaker Te Manaia Jennings is someone who deeply understands the harm these things can do.
Yesterday she delivered a talk to year 8 and 9 girls at Diocesan School about body image and strategies to counter negative self-talk.
She joins Jesse to talk about her experiences and what she's trying to pass onto younger generations.
1:25 Ninety Mile Snapper competition in final phases in the far north
The Ninety Mile Beach Snapper competition is in full swing in the far north after last year's event was canclled due to COVID restrictions.
Regarded as the New Zealand's possibly the world's biggest surfcasting competition, it attracts keen up to 1200 anglers from as far afield as Western Australia.
The multi-day event was officially launched on Monday night and finishes up tomorrow with some serious prizes up for grabs.
Co-organiser Dave Collard talks to Jesse about the final days of the competition.

Work is being done to put in place safe guards to protect Antarctic penguins from the current bird flu strain making its way around the world right now.
There are concerns that the unique colonies of penguins in Antarctica are vulnerable to the H5N1 highly contagious avian influenza through migratory birds such as the skua.
Waikato University Professor Craig Cary has been leading the way in the fight to limit the potential damage the virus could inflict on already fragile colonies.

A few years ago now we spoke to skateboarder Amber Clyde.
After entering the male-dominated world of skateboarding as a kid, Amber founded Girls Skate NZ, which offer free classes for young girls keen to give skateboarding a go.
She was recently featured in a documentary published by The Spinoff called 'Back on the Board'.
It chronicles her rebuilding confidence in skating as a solo mum.
We thought it was a perfect opportunity to catch up with Amber.

This week chef and food stylist of My Weekend Table Gretchen Lowe has devised a sweet treat which pays homage to her favourite TV show of all time, Te Lasso. (On Apple TV)
She's created her version of the Ted Lasso cookie, which he delivered to his boss Rebecca very early in the popular series.
Gretchen's managed to use her favourite flavours, lime and passionfruit to create the cookies and accompanying posset.
