10:17 The importance of court interpreters and why they're not just translating

It's a difficult but important job that's been in the media lately due to the Yanfei Bao murder trial.

A court interpreter helps people who find it hard to speak or understand English participate in a court or tribunal hearing - ensuring a fair process.

Henry Liu is an experienced court interpreter and has been an advisor to the Chief Justice and the Ministry of Justice.

He talks to Emile Donovan about how vital the role is.

10:45 The search for a family heirloom lost for nearly 40 years

We're asking for a bit of audience help in trying to track down our guest's family heirloom.

Chris du Plessis is trying to track down a 1950s Hohner Verdi Piana accordian which was passed down in his family until it went missing in the 1980s.

Chris has been on the hunt for the instrument for a while now without any luck, so he's hoping a Nights listener might be able to finally track it down.
