The Horse: The Galloping History of Humanity takes readers on a sprawling journey through the histories of technology, transport, agriculture, war and urbanisation.  

Throughout his book, Timothy C. Winegard explores how horses — or the equine revolution as he calls it — permanently altered the fabric of humanity and history.  

 A New York Times bestselling author of six books, Winegard also holds a PhD from the University of Oxford, served as an officer in the Canadian and British armies, and is an associate professor of history at Colorado Mesa University.
