(4) Gender and the Body- While over a century has passed since women received the right to vote it's still very clear that attitudes towards women, their femininity and their 'physical makeup' are subtly and overtly under attack in different spheres of life, whether it be motherhood, sexuality, the way women's bodies are objectified in the media… There are pervasive stereotypes and attitudes that exist and have a negative impact on the opportunities women are granted in society. This episode explores how women have claimed or had access to public space, and who dictates how she can behave when she finally gets there (4 of 8, RNZ)

    After Suicide
    When someone takes their own life, how does it affect those left behind? Suicide claims the life of someone, somewhere in the world, approximately every 40 seconds, according to the World Health Organisation. And that rate is increasing. The devastating effects on those left behind can go on for generations, especially where suicide is taboo or difficult to talk about. Mark Dowd hears the stories of people bereaved by suicide and reflects on his own experience following the suicide of his brother Chris. (BBC)   Where to get Help;
