A homicide investigation has begun after a man died at a property in Whangārei.
Emergency services responded to a report of a man injured at a Norfolk Street address, just before 5pm Saturday, Detective Senior Sergeant Michelle Harris said.
But the man was unresponsive, and he died at the scene.
Harris said early Sunday morning that no charges had been laid, however officers had arrested a 53-year-old man at the address, who was known to the victim.
