Police have named the man who went missing while fishing on a boat off the Hawke's Bay coast.
Jason Hollows, 54, from Hampden, Otago was reported missing from the commercial fishing vessel Pacific Challenger before 9pm on Monday, 11 kilometres off Waimārama.
Ngāti Kahungunu will hold a karakia on Friday alongside his whānau.
The iwi will also place a rāhui over the area from Cape Kidnappers to Karamea for two days.
Police are continuing to investigate what happened to Hollows.
In a statement police said the boat had been searched, crew members had been spoken to and further searches could still be considered.
