Chiefs assistant coach Andrew Strawbridge remains in a critical but stable condition in Waikato Hospital, but he's been able to signal that he wanted his wife Laura.
The Manu Samoa technical advisor is very sedated.
Strawbridge has been in the Waikato Intensive Care Unit since arriving home on Monday night.
The Strawbridge family continues to request privacy as they focus on his recovery.
Strawbridge was in a critical condition in hospital in Apia before returning to New Zealand by Air Ambulance, after taking ill with an eye infection during his flight to Samoa last Tuesday.
He deteriorated rapidly, but his condition improved and arrangements were made to transfer Strawbridge to New Zealand.
All updates on Strawbridge's health will be posted on Chiefs social media and the Waikato Hospital District Health Board website.
