Sprint kayaker Lisa Carrington is Aotearoa’s most decorated Olympian of all time

Between London 2012, Rio 2016, and Tokyo 2020, she won a total of five Olympic gold medals and one bronze, along with 10 world championships.

Lisa was promoted to Dame Companion by Queen Elizabeth II in her 2022 New Year honours for services to canoe racing.

Dame Lisa came into the Auckland studio in December 2022 to talk to Jesse about her illustrious career and how special it was to receive one of the last honours given by the queen.
